Don’t take things so seriously; do what you love and enjoy the good and the bad. Don’t let anyone take advantage of you. It hasn’t happened to me, but people tend to take advantage of your trust. There’s a lot of courage in proving how strong you are. But once you get there nothing can stop you.

Some days I want to look like a hipster kid, and then other days I want to be prim and proper. I really wish I had, like, seven lives so I could go from being a hipster one day to a punk the next. But that’s the great thing about fashion. In a way, it’s like acting, because you can try on all these different roles.

Certainly there’s a huge appeal to the ‘60s, because it was such a big turning point to everyone. It was the era of change, the boiling point. People rebelled against things - the hippies, the feminists, the protesters. All these things just built up and boiled over. I think people can relate to that today.
